S.N.S Herning – Keeping Fisherman Warm For… Well A Long Time!

19th December 2013

S.N.S Herning sounds like the name of an old ship doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. However, there is a tenuous link here somewhere. S.N.S Herning have been knocking out heritage Danish knitwear for an age, supplying Scandinavian seafarers with fisherman style knits on those cold days at sea. The AW13 collection has a range of cardigans, sweats and chunky knits. The stand out piece for me is the S.N.S Herning Stark Cardigan, as it boasts a 100% lattice texture wool finish with ribbed collar, cuffs, hem and placket. It really is a superb piece and albeit being a bit unsure about the metal button closures, I’ve now really warmed (excuse the pun) to them and think give the knit a very European feel.

The S.N.S Herning Stark Cardigan comes in a four colours; Bordeaux, Navy, Navy Blue Mix and Dark Army mix. The Dark Army Mix is an absolute winner for me and I believe the key to their longevity lies in it’s understated yet quality design. So, if you looking for knitwear this winter then I would advise checking this collection out.

82 years and counting, they really do know their stuff!
