I’m sat here in my bed looking at the shoe rack on the landing (yep a shoe rack, how very middle class). I can confirm the trainers housed on said rack are not worthy of the underclass let alone the upperclass. Highlights include a 20 quid black Umbro astroturf’s barely fit for a shoplift let alone a game of 5-a side, and a pair of Converse with the soles falling off. No wonder my converse are knackered, I can never be arsed to undo the laces properly. I’m sure I’m not the only one who stands on the back of them with the opposite foot to yank them off, which tends to mean they barely last 6 months before I’m hoying them in the green bin, or is it the blue bin? Who knows. Who cares.
Anyway, if you’re into Converse you will probably like these ace Sandwich Hi Heritage canvass trainers from Japanese label RFW (Rhythm Footwear). They’re certainly original with an overlapping canvass on the upper and cool blue RFW logo on the rubber sole. They’re pricier than their American rivals, which would suggest better design quality/durability. I also have a theory that if they sting me in the wallet I might look after them better. Reckon this theory’s a load of shit, but at least I’d look swish for a few months regardless.
