Tees from Brooklyn We Go Hard

Just a quick post from me today as I’m itching to get from behind this computer and out for a beer in this weather we’re having. For those of you who are stuck behind a desk today here’s some nice t-shirts to peruse from Brooklyn We Go Hard.

Brooklyn We Go Hard. Sounds a bit like a 90’s soft porn movie doesn’t it? Well sorry to disappoint, but it’s not. It’s actually a Parisian Clothing label who’ve a passion for exploring urban culture and showcasing the work of talented young photographers. Take a look at the artist section on the brands website for details of the photographers they champion. Their current spring/summer 14 collection named ‘Hermosa’ has been inspired by 70s & 80s surf culture and the late Leroy Grannis (the greatest of surf photographers) who was born, raised and sadly passed on Hermosa Beach, California. This is the beach that Leroy strolled along for over 40 years looking to capture the essence of surf culture.

I’ve never surfed myself and cant see a visit to Los Angeles materialising anytime soon. Therefore, as a poor man’s alternative I going to try and capture the essence of Bensham this coming weekend. Be prepared for arty shots of pissed-up teenage lads performing a common mating ritual involving the engine revving of a hand-held hedge strimmer whilst shouting a string of incomprehensible vowels.
