All I seem to post about lately is footwear; New Balance, Sperrys, Northern Cobbler all getting a feature on the blog in the last fortnight. So, if you’re sick to the back teeth of me banging on about trainers then best to look away now as we’ve got a heads up on one of the best pump collaborations I’ve seen this year courtesy of Vans Vaults x Peanuts.
Charlie Brown & his hound Snoopy, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty and Sally Brown were just a few of the characters created by the late Charles M. Schulz in his highly respected American comic strip ‘Peanuts’ that ran for 50 years up until the turn of the millennium.
For AW14 Vans have re-issued two classic prints created for the Peanuts gang in the early 1980s. These prints commemorated the opening of Camp Snoopy and were originally sold exclusively sold at the Knotts Berry Farm Amusement Park in Vans home state of California.
These latest re-issues come in a range of 5 light pastel colour-ways; lavender, peaches n’ cream (pink basically), blue turquoise, black/colour block mix and my personal favourite, classic white. All the shoes feature a 100% canvas upper, waffle sole and the Vans ‘Off The Wall Originals’ heel tab.
Finally, if you’re into your boots like me there’s a SK8 hi-top version with a choice of the classic white limited edition ‘Camp Snoopy’ print featuring playful little illustrations of snoops alter-egos, or the black/colour block mix featuring a discontinued ‘Snoopy and the Gang’ print … Just splendid!
