Riccio's - Editorial No. 10 EP

Our last post on Bologna’s edits maestro Riccio featured the release of his ‘Never Go Away’ EP on Slow Town Records and I’m pleased to see him return with a late summer rework on Canadian slow-mo label, Editorial.

It’s rare to find an EP nowadays on which all the tracks are equally as strong, but Riccio may have just about pulled it off with his latest 4 track groover.

Opener ‘I’ve Loved It’ is a head down dance floor beast, featuring a cool diva vocal loop. There’s no let up with second track ‘Flute’ laying down an irresistible groove and yes, you’ve guessed it some woodwind goings on. ‘Put Some Love In Your Life’ takes us back to the heady days of Disco with it’s string-laden funk rhythm and final track ‘Little Drummer’ takes us down a notch with a slow-mo lazy summer vibe. It’s the kind of record you cannot help but get hooked into and if that weren’t enough the labels vinyl artwork is equally as impressive.
