I’m one of these fair-weather cyclists who at the first sign of a cold, wet morning conjures up every excuse imaginable as to why I couldn’t possibly commute upon my iron steed in such foul weather. However, as I’m sure most part-time cyclists will already know, the real reasoning behind my bike rotting in the shed throughout the winter months is that I’m lazy, lack self-discipline, and I’m incapable of sacrificing those extra 20 minutes under the duvet.
Anyhow, for those readers who actually use their two wheeler on a regular basis, you might want to check out these posh bike bags from London’s ‘Hill & Ellis‘
I’m not convinced they’d work for me, as on the rare occasion I do dig out my long-suffering bicycle, my commute happens to be take in 3 fields, 1 golf course, a large wood, and someone’s back garden, which understandably leaves me (and my bike) covered in clart!
These handsome carriers are perhaps more suited to urban dwellers, with many featuring hidden pannier clips that fit these bags securely to your bike as well as discretely zipping away when not in use, subsequently allowing you to transfer your bag from bike, to office, to gym, to pub, to chippy …. and so on. Very efficient!
