I passed through Dundee twice on the way to/from Aberdeen recently and yet again failed to drop into the Cartocon Store. This could be put down to the fact I was lumbered with a grunting Geordie in the passenger seat distracting me with an endless chorus of unfathomable vowels, or just that I was in desperate need of a coffee. Either way we finally agreed to a pit-stop approximately 50 miles south of Dundee at Kinross services. Needless to say their take on contemporary menswear consisted of a competitively priced range of high-visibility tabards and the very same pair of driving gloves Partridge wore in ‘crash! bang! wallop! … what a video’
Cartocon on the other hand, well they sell loads of nice independent stuff made by other people, as well as selling other nice stuff made by themselves. Some of those nice things include these rather smart E-180 tees new for spring 2015, and these ace tri-logo tees (the ones with the tee-pee on the front) from winter 2014. The tri-tees get my stamp as they’re constructed from a high quality 185gsm cotton fabric, which in straightforward English means they’re proper tees that you can throw your dinner down and then wash them loads and they will still look dead good.
