I know it’s only August, but I think I’m a bit done with SS15. I’m not saying that it hasn’t been a good season with great stock, as it most definitely has. But I’m just a little tired with it all. Maybe I’ve just been gawping at the same wares since March and gone full circle, or perhaps I’m just more of an Autumn/Winter type character. Cold terraces in winter, warm pubs, fishtail parkas, flannel shirts, over-sized hoods and of course, quality knitwear.
Sound good doesn’t it? Well accessories and design store ‘Slow Down Joe’ certainly think so, with a proper selection of autumnal warmers up for grabs in their current end of season sale. These handmade Lovat Mill lambswool blanket’s would look well good draped over my hungover being as I prepare for a Saturday afternoon in with Jeff and the boys. Not that I would ever buy a blanket, and even if I did, it wouldn’t be something I’d ever admit to on here. And if I did happen admit to a blanket purchase I certainly wouldn’t be calling it a blanket. I’d be labelling it a rug, or sheath, or anything more manly sounding than word ‘blanket’, which is just about any word I can think of .. ‘blanket’ ‘blanket’ ‘wet blanket’ ‘wanker’
Now we’ve cleared that up you might also like to know that Slow Down Joe happen to be one of the few places who’ve still got Superior Labor’s A la Carte hosiery collection in varying shapes and sizes, and all for a tenner!
