To label this Post Overall’s staple the ‘Royal Traveler’s Vest’ seems a little bit of a contradiction. Firstly, who are these regal travelling folk they speak of? They’ve always been known as gypos round my way, and none of them strike me as being affiliated with the monarchy. Furthermore, I’ve seen the clip of Paddy Doherty’s two-tone Armani shirting and it’s a world away from these woolen wonderment’s.
Leaving the vest’s handle and my grumble with ‘travelers’ to one side for a moment, the outer shell just smacks of classic heritage tailoring, whereas the cotton lining offers something a little more contemporary. A bit like a perfect storm of classic meets current. The best of the rest includes two front wraparound button-closure pockets and a beauty understated crescent placket.
So in summary; travelers wouldn’t wear this, I would. It’s well good.
