In theory, running a blog or similar social platform allows you to share stuff you love, loath, or merely have an opinion on with millions of people around globe. However, in reality most peoples blogs are only ever read by their Mam, their mates, and those Google robots that scan and index your site content so that one day some real person might actually find it on the web and read it.
Thankfully, we can laugh in the face of page rankings as our mates are dead good North East 5 piece ‘The Great Curve’ who are fast becoming rather popular. And what kind of world would we live in if it were frowned upon to plug our mates, on our blog, in a shameless attempt to boost traffic.
The past 12 months have seen the band rise to prominence following the release of their impressive debut EP and follow-up single ‘Vape Thy Last Vape’, as well as receiving industry plaudits from the likes of BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson.
With the bands highly anticipated second EP about to be released on Monday 21st March, the chaps have kindly provided us with an exclusive preview of the music video for ‘BattleCat’, the second track off the new record. This feature has been put together by talented visual artist Alannah Lamb and pays homage to a bygone era of hollywood starlets.
You can pick up the new EP from all the usual digital arenas from the 21st. Although if you happen to live locally and ain’t seen this lot live, then I would strongly advise moving heaven and earth to catch them at The Cluny on Saturday the 19th March where they’ll be playing alongside more local talent, and dishing out limited physical copies of their new record.
Alternatively, go give ’em a follow on Soundcloud.
