Here’s yet more spring/summer garb for your viewing pleasure, this time from relative menswear newcomers, Keston Hare.
Now I do appreciate it may seem like we’re overcooking things with all these lookbooks, but how could I possibly emit a collection from the former Head of Design at Nigel Cabourn and Creative Director at Common People featuring a bunch of blokes loitering around a swimming pool in their kegs.
The Edinburgh based menswear brand is now entering it’s 4th season and following the success of their London flagship store which opened in Shoreditch during Summer 2015 the brand has recently opened a new space on Glasgow’s Princess Street.
Clean, nautical heritage clothing is the theme for their new SS16 collection with many all pieces taking their names from iconic British seaside towns. The lookbook entitled ‘The Bigger Splash’ draws on inspiration from outdoor swimming culture and the prints of British artist David Hockney. His stylised paintings of swimming pools instills notions of the classic British seaside from woven jacquard swimsuits to ice-lolly t-shirts.
If you’re a fan of Common People then you’ll be right into this lot.
